South Cobb Transit Center 30% Design Documents

The Cobb County Government is seeking proposals from qualified firms to create the preliminary design documents for the South Cobb Transit Center. The project involves developing a new and modern transit center, including a potential pedestrian bridge, northbound and southbound station platforms, and two driveway access points. The selected consultant will be responsible for advancing the current concepts into a Conceptual (10%) Design and Preliminary (30%) Design. The scope of work includes tasks such as project management, public outreach and engagement, conceptual design, survey and utility investigations, geotechnical investigations, traffic studies, and preliminary design. The proposal should include information on staffing, experience and performance, approach, availability, litigation history, and forms. • Key features of the project include: • Demolition plans of existing buildings • Coordination with various utilities and permitting agencies • Bus bays and outdoor passenger waiting areas/platforms • Sidewalks and pedestrian safety features • Pedestrian bridge • Flex/Mobility on Demand service pick up and drop off area • Rideshare or kiss’n’ride drop off area • Interior site bus driveways • Employee and customer parking area • Transit center building • New driveway connections • Landscaping and site lighting
