Maintenance services for a government owned Leica confocal/multiphoton microscope system

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking a contractor to provide maintenance services for a government-owned Leica confocal/multiphoton microscope system. The system is used by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research’s (CCR) Intravital Microscope Core (IVM) for research on visualizing cellular processes in live animals. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, material, and equipment necessary to maintain and provide preventive maintenance for the microscope system. The contract will be for a base period of 12 months, with four 12-month option periods. The contractor will be required to complete one planned preventive maintenance session during each period of performance, and provide on-site emergency repair services as needed. • The contractor must have technically qualified factory-trained personnel to perform the services. • The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and materials for the maintenance and repair of the microscope system. • The contractor must ensure that all maintenance services are performed on-site in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard commercial maintenance practices. • The contractor must provide software updates and technical support for the microscope system. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to labor, environment, and health and safety.
