Electric Fusion Fluxer and Accessories

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Environmental Express, Inc. for the supply of an Electric Fusion Fluxer and accessories. The equipment will be used for preparing high-quality glass disks (fusion beads) for X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and solutions for Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) analyses. The requirement includes a new, compact, portable, single-position electric fusion fluxer that meets specific minimum specifications. • The equipment must have dimensions not to exceed 17" (H) x 17" (W) x 17" (D) • The equipment must have a voltage of 115 VAC, single phase • The equipment must have a maximum power of 1500 watts • The equipment must have a maximum temperature of 1200°C • The equipment must have a frequency of 50-60 Hz • The equipment must have a weight not to exceed 50 lbs • The equipment must include one crucible (95% Platinum, 5% Gold) and one mold (95% Platinum, 5% Gold) • The contract must include at least a one-year manufacturer's warranty covering parts, labor, and travel.
