Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting market research to identify alternative sources for an aberration-free imaging spectrograph. The spectrograph should be compatible with Hamamatsu's single-photon digital camera Model Orca-Quest 2 and meet specific minimum specifications, including a 320 mm focal length Schmidt-Czerny-Turner imaging spectrograph, LabVIEW software, and interchangeable motorized triple grating turret. • The spectrograph should have advanced optics and superior MTF and spectral resolution. • It should have a 100% compatibility with Hamamatsu's Orca-Quest 2 digital cameras for system integration. • The spectrograph should have a linewidth (FWHM) of 1.5 pixels or better with a 20 micron pixel pitch. • It should have a spectral resolution of 0.065 nm or better at 546 nm with a 1200 groove/mm grating. • The spectrograph should have zero astigmatism at any wavelength with any grating at all points in the focal plane. • It should have zero coma at 500 nm with 1200 gr/mm grating. • The spectrograph should have a wavelength accuracy of 0.2nm and wavelength repeatability of +/- 0.015 nm.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific budget or price range. However, based on the complexity and specificity of the required spectrograph, it is likely that the budget will be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the spectrograph will be a custom-made instrument with advanced optics and superior MTF and spectral resolution. The actual budget may be higher or lower, depending on the specific requirements and the number of bidders.
