Landfill Dumping Services

The City of Richmond, Virginia, is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide landfill dumping services for the Department of Public Utilities (DPU). The services required include receiving excavated material, consisting of rubble and various construction spoils, into one or more of the firm's landfills, on an as-needed basis. The City anticipates hauling 100,000 tons of various rubble and construction spoils per year. The contract will commence on the commencement date set forth in the Goods and Services Contract and shall expire five years later, unless terminated earlier. The City reserves the right to extend the contract for up to 12 months and may renew the contract for up to two two-year renewal terms. • The contractor shall accept and assume responsibility for the final disposition of all material delivered by the DPU. • The contractor shall make its landfill(s) available for the City’s material delivery, between the hours of 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, EST, Monday through Friday (except for City-observed holidays). • The contractor shall maintain an adequate inspection system and perform regular equipment inspections to ensure compliance with the contract requirements. • The contractor shall adhere to and operate under the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) guidelines for Municipal Solid Waste Regulation.
