Description
The City of Tacoma seeks a qualified contractor to replace fourteen (14) existing commercial overhead sectional doors and their operators at the Transmission Maintenance Facility (Building A, 2201 Portland Ave E). The scope includes removal and disposal of existing doors, supply and installation of new insulated steel sectional doors, heavy‑duty electric hoist operators, all necessary hardware, safety devices, electrical terminations, testing, commissioning, and site clean‑up. The work must be completed within 60 calendar days after material delivery, with a minimum three‑year labor warranty and a one‑year parts warranty. Key points:
• Replace 14 commercial overhead doors and install new LiftMaster (or equivalent) trolley‑type operators.
• Provide all tracks, springs, seals, safety devices, and complete electrical terminations; no new feeder or panel work required.
• Removal, disposal, and site cleanup are included; installation must adhere to City safety and prevailing‑wage requirements.
