The City of Vancouver is issuing a Notice of Intent to Contract for the position of Communications Manager – Special Projects for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Vancouver. The successful candidate will be responsible for special project oversight, media experience strategy implementation, stakeholder coordination, project management, and event support. The estimated value of the contract is approximately $45,000.00 before taxes, excluding reimbursable expenses, for an initial term of approximately 4 months. Key responsibilities include:
• Special project oversight for Marketing and Communications
• Media experience strategy implementation and media centre operations logistics
• Stakeholder, partner and multi-site coordination
• Project management and execution
• Milestones, activations and event support
