Intent to Sole Source Tracking the Adoption and Use of Health IT among U.S. Hospitals

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is conducting a sole source acquisition to track the adoption and use of health IT among U.S. hospitals. The American Hospital Association (AHA) is the proposed contractor due to its unique qualifications and experience in survey development, design, and data collection. The AHA has a long-standing data collection effort in place, capturing information on the adoption and use of electronic health records, as well as users' attitudes towards them in U.S. hospitals. The survey will provide detailed information on the characteristics of hospitals beyond the use of health IT and can be linked to external data sources.
