Rack-Mountable, High-Power, Frequency-Doubled Red Laser System

The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk is seeking information from qualified and experienced sources to provide a high-power, frequency-doubled red laser system for the United States Naval Observatory. The system must meet specific requirements, including a wavelength of 657.459nm, a linewidth of 50kHz or less, and a generated 657nm output of at least 600mW. The system must also include a digital laser locking device with a bandwidth of 50 MHz and a linewidth of less than 1 Hz. The period of performance for the contract is 5 months from the date of award. Key points to consider: • The system must be rack-mountable in a standard 19” equipment rack and include a fluid chiller for temperature stabilization. • The system must be able to achieve the specified requirements in a standard laboratory environment without user-supplied parts or assembly. • The vendor must provide a laser locking system that seamlessly interfaces with the laser controller and meets the specified requirements. • The planning and support for the completion of the tasks will be coordinated with the technical point of contact and performed at USNO DC.
