Description
The Dawson County and Lumpkin County School Food Authorities are seeking a food distribution company to provide k-12 school food products. The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and terminate on June 30, 2027, with the option to extend for up to three months or renew for up to four additional one-year terms. The successful proposer will be required to provide products that meet the specifications outlined in the RFP, including compliance with the Buy American Act. Proposers will be evaluated based on factors such as price, service capability, experience, and financial condition.
• The RFP includes a detailed list of requirements and specifications for the food products to be provided.
• The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible proposer.
• The SFA(S) reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal, or to accept any part of a proposal without accepting the whole thereof.
• Proposers must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• The contract will include provisions for termination, including immediate termination if the SFA(S) determines that adequate funds are not available.
