Z1DA--578-26-006 - Repair Steam and Condensate Risers Building 1 - Phase 2 (CON)

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to repair the steam and condensate risers in Building 1. The project will be completed in four phases: asbestos abatement, new riser and chase installation, disconnecting old risers and connecting new ones for steam and condensate lines in sections A-F, and disconnecting old risers and connecting new ones for steam and condensate lines in section G. The contractor will be responsible for removing accessories and equipment that hinder construction, demolishing, relocating, or modifying wall fixtures, equipment, cabinetry, radiator covers, and furniture necessary to accommodate the new pipe chase. The contractor must also restore surface damage or alterations to previous conditions, including damage to paint. • The project will be completed in four phases. • The contractor will be responsible for removing accessories and equipment that hinder construction. • The contractor must restore surface damage or alterations to previous conditions. • The contractor will be able to move throughout the phases without delay in coordination with the COR. • The contractor must match existing finishes in coordination with the COR.
