Description
The City of Blackshear is requesting qualifications and proposals for selection of a State of Georgia licensed Engineering Firm to provide post-award services for its U.S. H.U.D. Community Project Funding Grant B-24-CP-GA-0679. The project includes construction of a new railroad crossing and road, as well as the closing of an existing railroad crossing. The selected engineer will be responsible for planning, design, cost estimating, bidding, contracting, construction oversight, quality control, and project closeout. Key aspects of the project include:
• Obtaining and maintaining all American Iron and Steel (AIS) and Build America Buy America (BABA) documentation during construction
• Certifying to the above action at the end of the project
• Providing engineering and construction observation
• Preparing all documents needed for construction
The selection of an Engineer for the project will be based on qualifications as they relate to community and economic development needs.
