Lab Testing for Student Health Center

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking a commercial medical laboratory to provide laboratory tests and services for the Student Health Center. The contract will have an initial term of two years, with the option to renew for up to three additional one-year terms. The vendor will be required to provide a broad range of laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other medical tests. The vendor will also be required to provide efficient customer service, dedicated account representation, and timely specimen pickup and delivery. The university is looking for a vendor that can provide high-quality laboratory services, meet the requirements outlined in the RFP, and provide excellent customer service. Some of the key requirements include: • Broad test menu • Specimen tracking ability • Efficient customer service • Dedicated representative for the account • Testing and specimen collection supplies • Phlebotomist (as needed) • STAT courier services (as needed) • Specimen pickup (preferred 2x per day, required 1x per day) • Notification of abnormal/extended testing delays • Preliminary result verification • Tracking and reporting for add-on reflex testing • Integration with lab information systems at no additional cost • Maintenance and support, including a service level agreement and service escalation process.
