Description
The State of Michigan Department of Corrections is seeking qualified contractors to replace the smoke purge system at the Gus Harrison Correctional Facility in Adrian, MI. The scope includes removal of existing equipment, installation of new fire‑suppression and smoke‑purge hardware, associated electrical and low‑voltage cabling, integration with existing security and HVAC controls, and compliance with state, NFPA, NEC, and UL standards. Contractors must provide all materials, labor, testing, and documentation required for final acceptance.
• Replace full smoke purge system (hardware, fans, ducts, controls)
• Install new fire‑suppression components per NFPA 70 & 75
• Provide all required electrical, low‑voltage, and fiber‑optic cabling (Cat‑6, single‑mode fiber) with color‑coded identification
• Integrate system with existing security cameras, access control, and HVAC control networks
• Perform testing, balancing, and commissioning; submit as‑built drawings and operation manuals
• Must meet all state, local, and federal safety, labor, and prevailing‑wage requirements
