Description
The City of Cincinnati is seeking a design‑build team to remediate landslide‑induced failures on Columbia Parkway (US‑50) and Riverside Drive (US‑52). The scope includes full engineering design, permitting, construction of stabilization systems (retaining walls, soil‑nail or mesh solutions, drainage), extensive pavement removal and replacement, traffic‑control management, and site restoration. The contract will be awarded to a single prime‑contractor/prime‑consultant who must self‑perform at least 30 % of the work and meet extensive Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and City compliance requirements (prevailing‑wage, SBE goals, drug‑free program, etc.).
• Design‑build delivery – one team handles both engineering and construction.
• Major work categories – ≈ $5.1 M roadway improvements, $1.2 M traffic‑signal reconstruction, $0.17 M structural foundations.
• Funding – Primarily state grant sources (ODOT HSIP Safety Grant, MTIF, etc.) with various percentage allocations.
• Timeline – Design/permits (Dec 2026 – Mar 2027) followed by a 270‑day construction window (Mar 2027 – Dec 2027).
• Eligibility – Prime must be ODOT‑pre‑qualified, self‑perform ≥ 30 % of contract value, and meet SBE/MBE/WBE requirements.
