Background Check and Screening Services

The County of Greenville is seeking sealed proposals from companies to provide background checks and screening services. This will be a one-year contract with up to four optional annual renewals. The scope of work includes providing criminal background checks, SSN verification, E-Verify, and other services. The contractor will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all aspects of background investigations, including record keeping, reporting, and customer care. • The contractor must provide a secure order process that allows users to communicate with the contractor and upload documents. • The contractor must maintain an effective reporting process, including providing monthly statistical reports and storing past reports. • The contractor must ensure excellent customer care, including assigning a knowledgeable customer service representative and providing a toll-free number. • The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the South Carolina Illegal Immigration Reform Act.
