Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to paint the structural steel and related components of the North Ohio Street Bridge, a 531‑ft overpass spanning two railroad lines. The scope includes surface preparation, painting of bridge fences, pedestrian lighting, concrete barriers, street‑light and pedestrian‑light poles, bollard lights, and rail sections on the barrier. Bidders must be pre‑qualified with KDOT for Work Type Q – Painting Structural Steel and submit sealed bids by the deadline.
• Surface preparation and protective coating of bridge steel, fences, barriers, and rail.
• Painting of 24 street‑light poles (including 6 on the bridge) and 46 pedestrian‑light poles, plus 5 bollard lights.
• Required KDOT pre‑qualification for structural steel painting; three full sets of plans to be provided upon award.
