Description
This contract calls for comprehensive painting, recoating, and protective coating work on the North Ohio Overpass bridge and associated structures in Salina, Kansas. The scope includes surface preparation, application of high‑performance epoxy and fluoropolymer systems on bridge fencing, light poles, concrete barriers, and railroad rail, as well as containment and disposal of lead‑based paint residues. The work must comply with SSPC/NACE standards and include quality‑assurance procedures, a one‑year post‑completion inspection, and strict environmental and safety controls.
• Paint and recoating of bridge fencing, lighting fixtures, concrete barriers, and pedestrian‑railroad rail using specified Tnemec coating systems.
• Required surface preparation (pressure water‑blast, TSP cleaning, SSPC‑SP3 or SPWJ‑4 cleaning) and disposal of hazardous residues.
• Full QA/QC program with manufacturer and applicator oversight, including a mandatory one‑year inspection of the coating system.
