USCGC BERTHOLF EXHAUST COMMERCIAL CLEANING

The United States Coast Guard Surface Force Logistics Center is seeking a contractor to provide commercial cleaning services for the exhaust piping system of the USCGC BERTHOLF. The scope of work includes disconnecting the exhaust piping, sweeping, mechanically cleaning, and vacuuming the interior of each exhaust pipe system, and reassembling the exhaust piping. The contractor must also develop and submit a plan for collecting and disposing of waste extracted during the cleaning process. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis using simplified acquisition procedures. Key aspects of the job include: • Cleaning the interior surfaces of the exhaust piping and stack uptakes to the SSDGs • Disconnecting the exhaust piping as necessary to facilitate cleaning • Reassembling the exhaust piping and renewing all disturbed flange connection gaskets • Performing a visual inspection of the exhaust stack access hatches, cleaned exhaust stack surfaces, and exhaust expansion joints • Submitting a plan for collecting and disposing of waste extracted during the cleaning process • Coordinating with Coast Guard personnel to ensure the SSDG exhaust piping system is in satisfactory operating condition
