10-2026-019 Local Fresh Fruit and Vegetable

The Bartow County School System is seeking a vendor to provide local fresh fruits and vegetables for the school year 2026-2027. The successful vendor will be required to deliver products to the Bartow County School Nutrition Central Warehouse. The vendor must be able to accommodate prompt turnaround time and flexible monthly ordering. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for four additional one-year terms. The evaluation criteria for the proposal include cost and financial proposal, seasonal/monthly variety, proficiency of ordering, purchasing, and delivering, product availability/quality, and customer support. Some key points to consider are: • The vendor must provide a list of different seasonal products available throughout the school year, with anticipated monthly or seasonal availability. • The vendor must state where each seasonal product is grown, including the name and location of the farm. • The vendor must submit a copy of the company’s return policy and procedures, process of issuing credits, including exchanges, incorrect delivery procedures, the receiving of spoiled produce, etc. • The vendor must be able to accommodate inside delivery and lift gate truck when delivered to the Central Warehouse. • The vendor must communicate with the SFA to schedule deliveries, delayed timing, etc.
