Description
The Department of Health Family Strengthening and Violence Prevention Unit (FSVPU) is seeking an event coordinator to plan and promote a sexual violence awareness conference for community partners and professionals in Honolulu. The event coordinator will work collaboratively with FSVPU staff to arrange and pay for registration, secure a location, manage events, and coordinate with presenters. The ideal coordinator will have knowledge of protective factors, experience with event planning, and familiarity with the Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) Program. Key responsibilities include:
• Planning and executing a one-day conference for 150-200 participants
• Coordinating with FSVPU staff and presenters
• Managing event logistics, including registration and venue selection
• Providing a summary of attendance and evaluation criteria
• Developing a method to obtain feedback from conference participants
• Managing a budget of $45,000 and providing an itemized budget for review and approval
