Annual Contract for Mattress Materials

Tarrant County is seeking bids to establish an annual contract for mattress materials to make inmate mattresses. The contract will be for a period of 12 months, with the option to renew for two additional 12-month periods. The materials required include cotton batting, inner cloth lining, and vinyl outer liner mattress ticking. The award will be based on the low bid meeting specifications, by package. The bidder must be able to deliver orders as small as 80 bales per order for cotton batting, and the delivery address will be 1815 Cold Springs Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76102. • The contract requires the bidder to provide materials that meet specific specifications, including cotton batting treated with boric acid or ammonium phosphate for fire resistance, inner cloth lining made of spun-bond 100% polypropylene, and vinyl outer liner mattress ticking that is bacterial and fungal resistant. • The bidder must also provide a warranty for the materials and services provided, and must have the necessary insurance coverage, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and auto liability. • The bidder must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to discrimination, boycotts, and terrorism.
