SYCAMORE SEWER PROJECT

The City of Southgate is accepting proposals for the Sycamore Sewer Project, which involves the reconstruction of a combined sewer along Sycamore Street between Howard Street and Barberry Street. The project includes the construction of approximately 626 linear feet of 36-inch combined sewer, as well as the removal and replacement of the roadway storm sewer, concrete roadway, concrete sidewalk, and concrete driveway approaches. The anticipated start date is November 10, 2025, and the project should be substantially completed by February 13, 2026, with final completion by May 14, 2026. • The project requires the construction of a bulkhead at the upstream end and a drop manhole and connection to the existing 90-inch Howard combined sewer at the downstream end. • The project includes the complete removal and replacement of the roadway storm sewer, concrete roadway, concrete sidewalk, and concrete driveway approaches. • Bid proposals will be received by Janice Ferencz, City Clerk, until Monday, October 27, 2025, at 10:00 am (local time). • Bidders must deposit a surety in the form of a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal.
