Notice of Proposed Sole Source Purchase of High-Resolution Satellite Imagery

The University of Southern Mississippi is seeking to purchase high-resolution satellite imagery as a sole source purchase. The imagery is required for the Perido Bay and Pensacola Bay Sites. The university has determined that L3 Harris Technologies is the sole reseller of Vantor products and services in the United States, and that Vantor owns and operates a constellation of WorldView 3 satellites and also offers archival imagery available. The university is seeking comments or objections to this proposed sole source purchase. • The purchase is for high-quality aerial and satellite images of the project boundary, including nearshore estuarine and marine aquatic ecosystems. • The university has conducted an extensive search for vendors capable of meeting the timeframe for this Pensacola and Perdido Bay Estuary Program (PPBEP). • The project will consist of Maxar WorldView 3 or Legion 1-6 high resolution satellite image data collection for the Perido Bay and Pensacola Bay Sites. • L3 Harris Technologies provides a discount when multiple services are requested.
