The Massachusetts Department of Higher Education is seeking a vendor to conduct a compensation study of all positions within the collective bargaining unit for full-time faculty and professional staff positions at the 15 community colleges in Massachusetts. The study will analyze compensation levels, benefits, and other factors to determine if the current compensation structure is competitive with peer institutions. The vendor will be required to identify peer institutions, conduct a benchmark assessment, and provide a market analysis. The project is expected to take no more than six months to complete. Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting a statewide and national analysis of institutions of higher education to identify peer public institutions
• Cataloging and assessing the similarities and differences in qualifications, duties, and responsibilities of all positions within the collective bargaining unit
• Analyzing compensation ranges and associated benefits of all positions within the collective bargaining unit
• Providing a detailed written report and presentation to DHE outlining the work done, a summary of findings, and recommendations for updated job descriptions and salaries.
