Project Management Services for Public Works Projects

The Zone 7 Water Agency is seeking a consultant to provide professional project management services to plan, administer, and oversee a portfolio of infrastructure, construction, and repair projects. The consultant will serve as the Agency's representative in administering and overseeing the design, procurement, and construction of public works projects. The scope of work includes general project management, project initiation and planning, design document preparation and management, procurement and bidding, construction and implementation oversight, project closeout and post-construction, and project controls and reporting. The Agency expects the consultant to use its expertise and knowledge to make recommendations and refine the scope of work needed to satisfy the Agency's objectives. Some key points to consider: • The consultant will coordinate, procure, and oversee work through existing on-call professional services and construction management contracts already held by the Agency. • The consultant's role is project management and coordination only, and they shall not perform engineering design, construction, or construction inspection. • The consultant may review design and construction deliverables, comment on their content, and oversee their preparation by the Agency's on-call consultants and contractors. • The Agency prefers to consolidate project management under as few firms as practicable to minimize coordination overhead and ensure consistency in project management practices, reporting, and integration with Agency staff.
