Grounds Keeping Services Astana, Kazakhstan

The U.S. Embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan is seeking a contractor to provide groundskeeping, gardening, and snow removal services for the American Embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan at Kyz Zhibek 5 residence. The contractor will be responsible for performing complete gardening and groundskeeping maintenance services, including grass cutting, edging, trimming, weeding, and turf repair. The contractor will also be responsible for removing snow and ice from all access areas, hard surfaces, and accessible roofs, and applying sand or de-icing agents as needed. The contract will be for a period of 12 months, with four option years. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary gardening supplies and equipment, and to maintain a program for controlling pests and plant disease. • The contractor will be required to provide a written schedule for grounds maintenance, including the method, frequencies, and dates of grass cutting, hedging, trimming, weeding, and turf repair. • The contractor will be required to provide a written plan for pest and disease control, including the method, frequencies, and dates of pesticide application. • The contractor will be required to provide a list of personnel, including supervisors, who will be working on the contract. • The contractor will be required to provide evidence of insurance, including general liability and workers' compensation insurance. • The contractor will be required to comply with all local laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations required to perform the work.
