Description

The Bureau of Consular Affairs is seeking applications for a research study to better understand the effects of international parental child abduction (IPCA) on abducted children and left-behind parents in the United States. The project will be funded through a cooperative agreement, and the recipient will be required to establish a steering committee to advise on the project. The project duration is 36-48 months, and the award amount is up to $1,973,000. • The study will focus on the psychological, social, and economic impacts of IPCA on abducted children and left-behind parents. • The project will involve a planning period, data collection, and analysis, as well as the development of a comprehensive final report. • The recipient will be required to submit quarterly financial reports and semi-annual program reports. • The project will be managed by the Office of Children's Issues, and the recipient will be required to work closely with the office throughout the project lifecycle.
