Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4, VAMC Erie, is seeking capable and responsible sources interested in providing Medical Gas Services. The services include preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair of medical gas systems at the Erie VA Medical Center. The contractor will be required to provide staff with ASSE 6010 installer certification and ASSE 6040 Maintenance Personnel certification. The contract will be awarded for a base period with four option years. The contractor will be responsible for providing all materials, components, labor, tools, and travel necessary to complete the work.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair of medical gas systems
• Ensuring compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 99, NFPA 50, American Society of Sanitation Engineers (ASSE), National Institutes for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) standards, and other applicable codes
• Providing staff with required certifications
• Scheduling testing with the Erie VAMC Point of Contact (POC) and performing general housekeeping
• Complying with safety procedures and providing personal protective equipment
• Responding to emergency calls within two hours and routine calls within eight hours
• Providing annual preventative maintenance and inspections for various systems and components
