Description
The City of Austin is seeking a qualified contractor to provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts and repair services for Allison transmissions on an as-needed basis. The contract will be for a term to be determined, with optional extensions. The contractor will be required to provide expedited repair services, emergency disaster services, and Code Red parts orders. The contractor must have an adequate parts inventory and be able to deliver parts within specified timeframes. The City reserves the right to inspect and test vehicles/equipment to ensure repairs are completed satisfactorily.
• The contractor must provide new OEM parts, except for core components on renewed assemblies, which meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements for quality and safety.
• The contractor must have a plan in place to comply with the requirement to make "Code Red" deliveries and "Expedited Services" as specified in the Scope of Work.
• The contractor must provide a 12-month labor warranty for all repair services and a 12-month warranty for parts.
• The contractor must not charge the City additional fees for repair services performed during the contractor's off-shift hours.
