Irrigation Installation, Maintenance & Repairs

The City of Chesapeake is seeking well-qualified contractors to provide irrigation installation, repair, diagnostic, and seasonal maintenance services at various City parks and facilities. The contractor will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on the City’s existing irrigation systems and completing new irrigation installations as requested. The services will be performed on an hourly-rate basis, with materials supplied at actual cost in accordance with the Code of Virginia. The contractor must provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for installation, repair, diagnostics, and maintenance of the City’s irrigation systems. • The contractor must respond to emergency requests for repair or maintenance within 2 hours and non-emergency requests within 36 hours. • The contractor must provide written estimates before work begins, unless waived by the City for emergency response. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, obtain all required permits, and coordinate utility marking services through Miss Utility of Virginia. • The contractor must have an active Virginia Class A Contractor License, Certified Irrigation Contractor status, and other relevant licenses and certifications. The key services to be provided include: • Irrigation installation • Repair and maintenance of existing irrigation systems • Diagnostic services • Seasonal start-up and winterization of irrigation systems • Emergency response services The City of Chesapeake reserves the right to make multiple awards as a result of this solicitation. The award(s) will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s), based on the Grand Total Bid of Section, Pricing Schedule, and meeting the requirements of the solicitation.
