NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: Maintenance Agreement (EMD Millipore Corp.)

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to issue a sole source award to EMD Millipore Corporation for a maintenance agreement. The contract will be for a 12-month base year with four 12-month option years. The maintenance agreement is for three Millipore Water Filtration Systems, which are critical for FSIS laboratory testing. The scope of work includes system inspection and diagnostics, water quality verification, consumables and sanitization, and troubleshooting and repairs. • The systems require OEM-certified service to ensure regulatory compliance and system integrity. • The maintenance requires OEM-approved firmware updates, e-Sure tag traceability for consumables, and specific Automatic Sanitization Module (ASM) protocols. • The contract will be awarded on a sole source basis, but interested parties may submit technical data to determine their capability to provide identical services.
