Mowing & Ground Maintenance at Landfills

Howard County seeks a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive grass cutting, mowing, and lawn/ground maintenance services for three county landfills (Alpha Ridge, New Cut Road, and Carrs Mill). The work includes regular mowing (3‑5 times per year), trimming around wells, vaults, and storm‑water structures, pipe‑gutter cleaning, debris removal, and supplemental brush‑cutting or string‑trimming on an as‑needed basis. Contractors must supply bat‑wing or comparable large‑acreage mowers, zero‑turn mowers, weed eaters, and blowers, and must maintain an English‑speaking supervisor on site at all times with daily reporting to the landfill superintendent.
