The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) is hosting a Proposers' Day event for the Critical Illness Immunological Reprogramming and Control Point Learning Engine (CIRCLE) program. The program aims to create a critical illness Immune Control Point Validation Engine that will lead to improvements in ICU health outcomes, coupled to reduced stay time and associated costs. The CIRCLE program will achieve its goal of developing reductions in the amount of time patients spend in the ICU and improve outcomes through innovations in systems immunology approaches to critical illness. Key aspects of the program include:
• Measurement of systemic and tissue-associated immune status biomarker dynamics
• Modeling of critical illness systems and control points
• Rational modulation of critical illness inflammation and immunity
• Transition acceleration and IV&V component
The program is a three-phase, 5-year program with multiple awards anticipated.
