Description
The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) is seeking up to two Testing Specialists (Automation) to provide User Acceptance, Integration, and/or Automation Testing and other testing and quality assurance services. The selected candidates will be responsible for performing software validation and testing, writing test cases, mapping requirements to test scenarios, validating functionality, and performing regression testing, integration testing, interface testing, and testing of downstream functions. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years of IT experience in test automation frameworks in a JAVA-based or JavaScript-based technology stack, and experience with automation testing tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, or equivalent.
Key responsibilities include:
• Performing software validation and testing
• Writing test cases and mapping requirements to test scenarios
• Validating functionality and performing regression testing
• Developing and identifying test data for test scenarios
• Executing test cases and documenting the results
• Documenting defects identified during test case execution and working with developers to resolve the defects
• Creating test plans and test calendars to coordinate testing tasks and establish timelines
• Utilizing performance testing techniques and tools to simulate usage/load of large enterprise environments
