RFP No. 902668 - Infrastructure Network Hardware

The County of Alameda is seeking a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) to provide network and security equipment and support to the Alameda County Information Technology Department (ITD). The contract will be for a term of three years with an option to renew for two years. The County is looking for a provider that can offer the most environmentally preferable products with equivalent or higher performance and at an equal or lower cost than traditional products. The selected provider will be required to provide pre-sales technical support, engineering assistance, and network equipment consultation services. They will also be required to provide qualified personnel for staff augmentation and "smart hands" services to support large-scale installation projects. Key requirements include: • Providing network equipment, licensing for various network and infrastructure monitoring tools, and support for Cisco Systems or approved equivalent and Palo Alto Systems or approved equivalent • Providing pre-sales technical support for all products being considered or ordered • Providing engineering assistance and network equipment consultation services • Providing qualified personnel for staff augmentation and "smart hands" services • Ensuring all personnel proposed for staff augmentation assignments have successfully passed a standard background check prior to placement • Completing and submitting the County-provided Background Check Form within five business days of receiving the County's request • Providing all hardware new, unused, and delivered with the manufacturer's standard warranty
