Description
The Evesham Township School District is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive student transportation services for the 2026‑2027 school year. The contract covers all aspects of bus operation—including vehicle provision, driver staffing, route planning, equipment installation (GPS, two‑way radios, cameras), insurance, bonding, and compliance with New Jersey statutes. Bidders may submit proposals for individual routes (minimum three) or groups of routes, and the district may award contracts on either a route‑by‑route or bulk basis. The award will be made shortly after the public bid opening, with service commencing September 1 2025 and ending June 30 2026.
• Provide school‑bus transportation for all enrolled public and private‑school students, aides, and district personnel.
• Supply a fleet that meets NJ vehicle, safety, and equipment standards (GPS tracking, radios, surveillance cameras, signage).
• Maintain qualified drivers and aides (CDL, background checks, drug testing, training) and a local office/garage within 12 mi of the district office.
• Secure required insurance (≥ $5 M each for general liability and auto liability) and post bid (≤ $50 k) and performance bonds (full contract amount).
• Comply with extensive reporting, penalties, and documentation requirements (monthly invoicing, accident reports, background‑check filings, equal‑opportunity statements, political‑contribution disclosures).
