Preparation and Support for Families Adopting Children with Special Needs (P&S)

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is seeking an organization to provide Preparation and Support for Families Adopting Children with Special Needs (P&S) services. The goal of this project is to help prepare prospective resource parents/families for the challenges of parenting and providing permanency to special needs children between the ages of 0-17. The selected organization will be responsible for providing these services to support the adoption process. Key aspects of this opportunity include: • Providing preparation and support services to prospective resource parents/families • Helping families navigate the challenges of parenting special needs children • Supporting the adoption process for special needs children • Collaborating with DCFS to ensure the success of the project
