Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to paint and finish a series of steel and concrete elements on the 531‑ft North Ohio Street Bridge, which spans two active railroad lines. The scope includes painting existing roadway and pedestrian fences, integrated lighting fixtures, concrete barriers with attached rail, and a large inventory of street and pedestrian light poles, as well as bollard lights. Bidders must hold KDOT pre‑qualification for Work Type Q (painting structural steel) and submit sealed bids by the October 29, 2026 deadline.
• Paint and finish existing fence, pedestrian fence with lights, and concrete barrier on the bridge.
• Paint 24 street light poles (including 6 on‑bridge) and 46 pedestrian light poles, with multiple color applications.
• Paint 5 bollard lights and the railroad rail attached to the concrete barrier.
• Deliver three complete sets of plans/specifications; additional sets available for purchase.
• Must be pre‑qualified by KDOT for structural steel painting (Work Type Q).
