Description

The Port of Long Beach is seeking a qualified consultant to develop a comprehensive study that quantifies the economic and fiscal impact of Port-related activities within the City. The study will examine the impact of foreign-owned enterprises and evaluate the current and future workforce needs associated with port-related industries. The selected consultant will produce an integrated analysis and final report within a 12-month completion timeline. Key aspects of the study include: • Measuring the Port’s direct, indirect, and induced economic and fiscal contributions to the City • Identifying and evaluating the economic impacts of foreign-owned enterprises within the diverse ecosystem of maritime, logistics, and goods-movement industries • Assessing the characteristics and composition of the current port-related workforce • Forecasting future workforce demand by industry and occupation, identifying gaps in the local talent pipeline and opportunities for targeted workforce development

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

Based on the scope of the project, which includes a comprehensive study and analysis of the economic and fiscal impact of Port-related activities, the budget could be substantial. Considering the complexity of the study and the 12-month completion timeline, the budget could range from $200,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the study will require a significant amount of resources, including personnel, data collection, and analysis. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the size and complexity of the study, the level of expertise required, and the number of personnel involved.
