Ultrasound Technician Services - FCI Loretto

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking a contractor to provide Ultrasound Technician Services, including equipment, to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Loretto, Pennsylvania. The contractor will be required to provide one Ultrasound Technician with equipment to conduct services for the adult in custody (AIC) population. The services will be performed on-site in the Health Services Department at FCI Loretto. The contract will be for a base year with four option years. The contractor must be fully licensed to perform radiological procedures and have at least three years of experience. The contractor will be responsible for performing routine ultrasound/echocardiogram procedures, transmitting studies and reports electronically, and maintaining equipment. Some key points to consider: • The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and personnel to conduct ultrasound services on site. • The contractor must adhere to all standards and regulations associated with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and American Correctional Association Foundation/Core Standards for Adult Correctional Institutions. • The contractor will be responsible for receiving patients and explaining procedures to alleviate undue anxiety. • The contractor must maintain an open line of communication with the Clinical Director, Health Services Administrator (HSA), and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
