Description

The Mexican Criminal Courts Telepresence Project aims to equip up to five state or federal judiciaries and their courtrooms in Mexico's northern border states with advanced telepresence systems and secure digital communication platforms. The project will enable judges and judicial officials to conduct secure virtual hearings with inmates and other detainees imprisoned for TCO-related activities. The contractor will be responsible for project assessment, design, development, implementation, testing, delivery, knowledge transfer, and support/warranties. Key requirements include providing all necessary hardware, software, and services, conducting workshop sessions with GOM partners, and ensuring customization of onsite processes. • The contractor must provide a comprehensive Bill of Materials for all hardware and software delivered under the contract. • The contractor must provide technical documentation in Spanish, including the description and functions of the software installed. • The contractor must provide warranties and technical support for one year starting upon INL acceptance of the project. • The contractor must provide knowledge transfer for GOM personnel after operational status of equipment and software has been achieved.

Budget estimate

$3,000,000 – $6,000,000

The budget for this project can be estimated based on the scope of work, which includes the provision of hardware, software, and services for up to five state or federal judiciaries in Mexico's northern border states. The cost of the project will depend on the specific requirements of each location, including the number of courtrooms, the type of equipment needed, and the level of customization required. Assuming an average cost of $500,000 per location for the hardware, software, and services, the total cost for five locations would be $2,500,000. Additionally, the contractor will need to consider the costs of travel, training, and support, which could add another $500,000 to $1,000,000 to the total cost. Therefore, the estimated budget for this project could be in the range of $3,000,000 to $6,000,000.
