Description
The State of Michigan Department of Transportation is seeking a contractor to provide printing services for the 2026 Michigan Aeronautical Chart. The chart will be used to provide current, safety-critical data and informational updates. The contractor will be responsible for printing, folding, and cartography services. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for up to two additional one-year periods. The contractor must have experience in producing high-quality, multicolor letterpress and offset printing of field books, maps, and other materials. The contractor must also have the ability to provide reliable and accurate cartography services.
Key requirements of the contract include:
* Printing 5,640 folded two-sided standard charts
* Printing 260 folded two-sided charts with SAR grids
* Printing 300 two-sided flat charts
* Providing digital deliverables, including a GEO-TIFF file and a PDF file
* Meeting specific quality and technical requirements for the charts and digital deliverables
* Providing a contractor program manager to respond to state inquiries and manage the contract
* Complying with all state and federal laws and regulations
* Providing proof of ability to produce high-quality charts and digital deliverables
* Meeting specific packaging and palletizing requirements
* Providing pricing that is firm for the entire length of the contract
* Complying with the state's standard contract terms and conditions.
