5671 - On-Call Low Voltage Cabling Services

The City of Redding, California is requesting quotes for on-call low voltage cabling services. The contract will be for an initial term of one year, with the option to extend for two additional years. The contractor will provide equipment, materials, and labor to install, maintain, and repair low voltage cabling and surveillance equipment for the City's 55 facilities. The scope of work includes: 1. Fiber and copper Ethernet infrastructure 2. Analog and digital telephone cabling 3. Audio visual infrastructure 4. Security systems, including IP-based security cameras and emergency notification systems The contractor must be certified in low voltage cabling and surveillance equipment installation, termination, and testing. They must also provide a detailed quote for each project, order materials, schedule and perform work, inspect the work, and provide test results. The City requires that all cable installations meet industry standards, including those set by the National Electrical Code (NEC), the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), and the Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI). The contractor must also follow confined space entry procedures when working in areas that require them. Quotes must be submitted by 2:00 P.M. on July 23, 2026, and must include: * A completed and signed proposal form * A bid bond (10% of the evaluated annual total) * Acknowledgement of addendums (if any) * Required submittal information The City reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, and to award the contract to the best-qualified vendor.
