NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - J.A. Wollam IR-VASE® Mark II Infrared Variable Angle Spectroscopic Ellipsometer

The US Army is soliciting a quote for the purchase of one IR-VASE Mark II Infrared Variable Angle Spectroscopic Ellipsometer. The acquisition is being made under the authority of FAR 12.102(a) and the Government intends to award a contract to J.A. Woollam CO, Inc. The delivery of the ellipsometer is required within 180 days after contract award, and it shall be made to the Logistics Warehouse at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. • The ellipsometer is a commercial item, and the acquisition is being made using a simplified acquisition procedure. • The Government will consider all proposals received prior to the closing date and time of this solicitation. • The contract will include provisions and clauses from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). • The contractor will be required to provide their business size in relation to the NAICS code contained in this solicitation and shall identify any socioeconomic categories to which they belong.
