The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a unified, cloud-based platform to manage both eDiscovery and FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests. The platform should provide a single, integrated solution for end-to-end management of eDiscovery and FOIA requests, including intake, preservation, collection, ingestion, processing, indexing, search, analytics, review, redaction, production, release, audit tracking, and records management support. The platform must be FedRAMP-authorized and support integration with various systems, including Microsoft 365. The VA is expecting a dynamic, unified enterprise FOIA and eDiscovery management platform with native capabilities supporting core operational functions.
Some key points to consider:
• The platform will replace existing legacy systems, including AINS for FOIA and CasePoint for eDiscovery.
• The platform must support approximately 1,400 users, with around 700 eDiscovery users and 700 FOIA users.
• The platform must handle large data volumes, with approximately 347TB of data under management and an estimated annual ingestion volume of 100TB.
• The platform must provide a secure, cloud-based solution with native capabilities for core operational functions, including intake, preservation, collection, ingestion, processing, indexing, search, analytics, review, redaction, production, release, audit tracking, and records management support.
