Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from potential contractors for the provision of bariatric beds and related accessories for the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center. The center requires 6 Umano Medical OOK snow All medical beds with Pilot Drive, mattresses, and accessories. The beds must meet FDA and Hospital Bed Safety Workgroup (HBSW) International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) standards. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary resources, delivering and installing the beds, and providing onsite education to hospital staff.
• The beds must have a 1060 lb. weight capacity and features such as battery back-up, programmable lowest height, and built-in-bed scale and bed exit detection system.
• The contractor must provide 10-year peace of mind parts service coverage and 3-year warranty for parts and labor.
• The contractor must also provide foldable 1'' IV poles and Low Air Loss (LAL) 4-way stretch polyurethane covers.
• The contractor will need to contact the hospital's Biomedical Department Supervisor before any bed installations or deliveries take place.
• The contractor will assist with the terminal cleaning and set-up of all delivered beds.
