Description
The State of Kansas, via the South Central Regional Mental Health Hospital, is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive patient food services for a new 104‑bed state mental health facility in Wichita, slated to open January 2027. The contract will run from the award date through December 30 2031 (with an optional one‑time 60‑month renewal) and requires safe, sanitary, nutritious, clinically appropriate, and uninterrupted meal delivery for patients, staff, and visitors, including specialized therapeutic, allergy‑management, cultural, and emergency nutrition programs. Vendors must submit technical and cost proposals, demonstrate relevant experience, and comply with extensive state certifications (tax clearance, immigration, anti‑discrimination, etc.).
• Scope: Daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, therapeutic meals, staff meals, catering, and special‑event meals.
• Volume: Service for 104 patient beds (≈ 312 meals/day) plus staff and visitor meals.
• Requirements: Staffing matrix, menu planning, nutrition compliance, food‑safety program, QAPI, technology integration, and performance reporting.
