Request for Information - Sterile Processing Offsite Support

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is seeking industry feedback on sterilization capabilities in support of Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) across the country. The DHA is considering outsourcing Sterile Processing Department (SPD) services to provide medical sterilization services, including decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments. The agency is looking for information on companies' capabilities to provide these services, including transportation of surgical instruments, personnel to perform the process, sterile processing facilities, and equipment. The DHA is also seeking information on companies' experience in providing medical sterilization services to the government and their ability to sterilize specific types of equipment. • Sterilization of surgical instruments, including minimally invasive surgical cases and power equipment • Transportation of surgical instruments between MTFs and offsite facilities • Complete sterile processing services, including decontamination, assembly, and sterilization • Personnel to perform the above process • Sterile Processing Facilities and equipment • Inventory verification and quality control verification
