Request for Statement of Qualifications from Contractors for the Prequalification of Bidders for Construction of the FY26 Ultraviolet Disinfection Systems Rehabilitation

The Cobb County Water System is seeking prequalification statements from contractors for the FY26 Ultraviolet Disinfection Systems Rehabilitation project. The project involves upgrading and rehabilitating ultraviolet disinfection systems at three Water Reclamation Facilities: Noonday Creek WRF, Northwest Cobb WRF, and R.L. Sutton WRF. The scope of work includes replacing and upgrading UV systems, valves, actuators, and HVAC units, as well as installing new electrical, instrumentation, data communications, and voice communications systems. The prequalification process will evaluate the contractors' experience, technical qualifications, financial status, and organizational ability to perform the proposed construction. • The project requires contractors to have relevant experience in treatment plant construction and a satisfactory safety record. • Contractors must possess a valid Georgia Utility Contractor License and/or a Georgia Commercial General Contractor License. • The contract will conform to the requirements of Georgia statutes concerning multi-year contracts of local governments. • The project requires separate performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. • Contractors must maintain insurance against claims for injuries to persons or damages to property that may arise from or in connection with the performance of the work.
